How To Clean Filter On Dyson V10

V10 not working after cleaning filter.

Hi All,

I'm hoping someone will be able to help me.

I have a V10 Dyson. The filter light came on solid so I took the filter off and cleaned it and let it dry.

I put the filter back on and the the vacuum is pulsating and the blockage light is gone crazy.

The thing is I am certain there is no blockage. I've heard of people having this issue before and was wondering if anyone here has.

Clean the filter again. The filter light is basically a warning that you should really, really clean your filter. The manual states that you should do it every month. If that doesn't work and your machine is still under warranty, have your local customer service ship you a new one.

I got this problem after i washed the filter and it wasn't 100% dry. So you have to let the filter dry completely.

Thanks. That turned out to be my problem. I thought it was dry but obviously not.

I washed mine with water and let it dry for 3 days. Asks me to clean filter when I go to MAX on carpet. The filter looks clean but I'm gonna power wash it with a water pik. I'll post results.

Its a shit vacuum.

Clean and clean and clean and clean the filter.

Make sure its dry, clean the and make sure the attachments aren't blocked

Pick it up, turn it on try to vacuum up something, puses with fileter warning.

Worst money I have ever spent
