How To Clean Roomba Extractor
If Roomba® is no longer picking up debris or is leaving clumps of hair or debris on the floor, please use the following information to improve performance.
Floor Conditioning Process
-
In homes with heavily shedding pets, the bin may fill quickly with hair and re-deposit it on the floor. In these environments, Roomba® must go through a floor conditioning process.
-
You can help Roomba® along by scheduling it to clean frequently and emptying the bin when the
full bin indicator illuminates, sometimes during a cleaning job. After this conditioning process, you'll enjoy consistent cleaning performance from your Roomba®. For best performance, be sure to continue emptying the robot's bin and cleaning the filter when the full bin indicator illuminates.
-
As an additional option, you can change the settings in the iRobot® HOME App to pause a cleaning job immediately when the bin becomes full. This will prevent the robot from overfilling and re-depositing debris as it drives, but may stop cleaning jobs before they are finished. To activate this feature, select

設定 ➔ ゴミフル時も清掃を継続 ➔
オフ in the iRobot® HOME App.
Cleaning Pass Settings
In most cases, Roomba® will remove dirt and debris with just one (1) pass over each area of your home. Two (2) cleaning passes may be particularly helpful in homes with pets, or for periodic deep cleaning. When automatic mode is active, Roomba intelligently chooses to use two (2) or more passes for a single small room or one (1) pass if cleaning a larger space. This setting can be helpful for those who use Roomba® in spaces of varying. When Roomba® is placed in a smaller room, it can choose to do more cleaning passes without concern for battery depletion. Use the iRobot® HOME App and select 清掃モード設定 ➔ Automatic to activate automatic mode.
Automatic cleaning preference is available with the following software versions:
-
iRobot HOME App: 1.5.1 or later.
-
Firmware: 1.6.6 or later. To check the robot's firmware, open the iRobot® HOME App and select

パワーブースト
-
You can set パワーブースト to Performance Mode to maximize cleaning performance on all floor surfaces. Go to
清掃モード設定 ➔ パワーブースト in the iRobot® HOME App.

Environment
In some dry, static-prone environments, Roomba® may exhibit poor fiber or pet hair pickup on carpets, due to static cling. Increase the relative humidity in your environment using a humidifier, or use a product such as Static Guard on your carpets in the area(s) where the issue occurs. Do not spray or mist Static Guard or water directly on or near your robot.
Filter, Debris Extractors, and Vacuum Path Care
If the problem persists, please watch the video or use the following information to clean your robot's filter, extractors, and vacuum path.
Filter
Remove the vacuum bin and press and lift the filter door release tab. Grasp the yellow tab to remove the filter. Shake off debris by tapping the filter against your trash container.
Debris Extractors
Vacuum Path
Clear any hair and debris out of the robot's vacuum path.
If performance does not improve after cleaning Roomba®, replace your filter with a new, clean filter and run a cleaning job to see if this improves performance. If performance does not improve after replacing the filter, please contact アイロボットサービスセンター.
